A JOURNEY THAT WILL SET YOUR TASTE BUDS ON FIRE
Heat Seekers Premieres September 1 at 9:30pm ET/PT on Food Network Canada
Hosted by chefs Aaron Sanchez (Chefs vs. City) and Roger Mooking (Everyday Exotic), Heat Seekers is a tongue-testing odyssey to discover the most deliciously spicy food across the United States - and to figure out why these dishes are so fun to eat. Aaron and Roger travel to Miami, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Santa Fe, Chicago, Seattle, Charleston and Los Angeles in search of outrageously mouth- watering creations. In each city, they discover the spicy secrets of everything from broiled crawfish and buffalo frog legs, to fiery ribs and seafood ceviche and then subject themselves to a test of who can handle the heat. The results are either tears of laughter or tears of pain - usually both. The first two Canadian broadcast premiere episodes include:
Heat Seekers: New Orleans Thursday, September 1 at 9:30pm ET/PT Chefs Aaron Sanchez and Roger Mooking take on tongue-torching food in The Big Easy, with stops for hot sausage Po' boys, kickin' jambalaya and Cajun-style crawfish. The spicy quest ends at a true hotspot in the French Quarter, where the boys battle it out to see who can finish a bowl of legendary Creole gumbo laced with XXXX Voodoo sauce! Got milk?
Heat Seekers: Santa Fe Thursday, September 8 at 9:30pm ET/PT It's serious Southwestern Sting as chefs Roger Mooking and Aaron Sanchez challenge their palates with smokin' hot Santa Fe red and green chili. Then, it's true 'hot' chocolate made with some of the hottest chili peppers out there. But there can only be one Chili Champion, and the boys' showdown is a pulled-pork sandwich so hot, that even the chili-loving locals can't take it.
