    What do you do?

Doing a variety of things/jobs that interest me—as long as the energy is good and I am laughing and feeling love.

Why am I asking you questions?

Maybe you are a slow flowing body of water; and perhaps you have seen, or envisioned, that each of us is reflected in you. By asking questions you acknowledge that I am here. And there’s the bonus: I’m delighted to get to know myself just a little bit more through these questions you have asked me today. Merci.

What does Soul Food mean to you?

    Oh, a sigh…

Soul food is food that makes my insides sway from a heady warmth. It can be triggered by time, taste, texture, aroma, space… oh so much…

If you could create any food and music experience what would it be?

I like the image of things slowly and sensually spilling over from pleasure. Sudden stops in life, in time, that still have the gentlest motion in them. A progress that is sublime.

Any music that is in sync with such a flow during a meal is dazzling.

    Kosher or Sea Salt?

They both have their own place in my world and I never pit one against the other. Please don’t make me choose.

    Wine or Cocktails?

A glass of wine would be lovely, thank you.

    Prosciutto or Spam?

    Proscuitto

Who is your favorite Iron Chef?

Oh, but I love Chairman Takeshi Kaga. I anticipate each unveiling with absolute delight! Without his hidden ingredients there are no Iron Chefs! ;)

What is your favorite thing to smoke?

    Duck breast.

What is your favorite music to listen to while cooking, after Soul Food of
    course?

These days, Katie Melua and Voula Halliday making songs up as she goes. I do Opera-Speak with my family.

Top 3 food experiences after Nyood and Kultura of course?

Guy Savoy (Trois Petits Pois!), Tetsuya Wakuda, Susur
