I am Voula Halliday. I am affected by taste. As a child, “first tastes”—things like frogs legs, oysters, old yeasty champagne, olives, green onions (I ate them raw, as a snack)—had my head spinning. I was lucky, my family worked in the food business and I got to taste so much. Trying to find words to describe new mouthfuls made me into an expressive person. I express this daily life that I am so lucky to savor by creating food, art and poetry. I share it with those that I love. This is who Voula Halliday is.
